Note that my selections, constituting three horses per race instead of the usual four that many handicappers pose, save the bettor money, whether he/she is betting to win or betting an “exotic” bet. Keep in mind that the selections are graded, particularly suited for those betting a trifecta, my personal betting choice. Based on only selecting three horses per race, I still predict the winner in well over 70% of the races that I handicap, and my predictions for second and third place are accurate enough to produce many a trifecta win.
I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Rutgers University, where I received a B.A. in business and accounting, with a haughty 32 credits in the latter. The possible significance of my accounting background is that I am quite accustomed to dealing with statistics and numerical data, like the past performance of a horse, for example.
california thoroughbred handicappingWhen I was fifteen, slightly under the then legal age for wagering, I began frequenting the beautiful Garden State Race Track (opened 1942-closed May 1, 2001) a quintessential racing facility which ultimately lost its wonderful life due to the influx of casino gambling at Atlantic City. Even at a young age, I showed an early proficiency for handicapping
horses, poring over the then Morning Telegraph (analogous to the current Daily Racing Form).
For over four decades, I have had the opportunity to tweak and ultimately perfect my stellar methods for handicapping horses. In 1973, while stationed in San Diego, I had the opportunity to watch Sham win the Santa Anita Derby under Laffit Pincay. My love for California thoroughbred racing has its origins in Santa Anita Race Course and has persisted all these years.
Now retired, I can devote full time to profitable handicapping, focusing exclusively on the grand race facilities in California, such as Santa Anita Park- The Great Race Place, Del Mar Race Course and Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds.
