PRAT VS. SMITH TOMORROW- TWICE

RACES 6-9

RACE 6

Just three raced at RD and only two of them hit the board: Crazy Cavalier and the Old Nine. Altogether six raced, with three hitting the board in a turf sprint, as Going Viral hit at 6f.

The Old Nine  (IRE- County Louth) born and bred on the lush turf of The Curragh, he is preternaturally suited for the grass race, he hit the board in both sprints, placing last time out with turf expert Rispoli atop

Crazy Cavalier   he hit the board in both trips at RD on turf, and in all six turf sprints, “winning” once at RD (DQ’d), O’Neill likes the turf sprint

Bigredsandribeyes   very well-rested, and very lightly raced, he turns back 990 feet after hitting the board last time out, Puype kills the turf sprint

RACE 7

The Santa Maria

Grade II, one and one-sixteenth miles, main track ($200000)

Two entries raced at RD, and both hit the board: Ultimate Authority and Lisa’s Nonno.

Two entries have never won any dirt route: Splendora and Fayette Fox.

There are two Baffert entries in the race.

Only Richi has won at graded stakes level, five times.

Richi   the lightly raced, Baffert trained,  rested mare “only” won six of eleven dirt races, one of four routes, but she won four time at 7 to 7 ½ f back home, she placed at Grade I level last time out with Fresu in charge, she looms very large

Ultimate Authority   she hit the board in five of six routes, winning twice at one mile, she did not like Grade I company last time out though

Splendora    this Baffert entry won two of five sprints and hit the board at 7f in her last two trips, Baffert kills the “two sprints to route” scenario as here

RACE 8

Six raced at RD and two won: Tom Seaver and Simplexity. Only six contestants have won any turf sprint.

Simplexity (IRE- County Antrim)   she won two of her three trips at RD, and her last three turf races including those two, Berrios was in command for all three and Blacker/Berrios $$$$$ here

King Apollo   he raced nine times at RD and hit the board in most, he won here at 6f last January, Hess kills the turf sprint, the gelding is well-rested

Tom Seaver   he won his sole trip at RD, and won at 6f as well, he hit the board in all three sprints

RACE 9

All raced at RD and six of eight entries won at RD. The other two entries, Kerry Gold and Spiritual Advisor have never won any dirt route.

Mr. Disrespectful   class drop, and he is lightly raced, he won a laugher at RD last time out, his very first route, with Berrios in the irons

Speed Grazy   he hit the board in eight of his last  ten routes, and he won two of them, Ordonez likes allowance level, new rider

Lil Richards Bello    he hit the board in all four trips at RD, and he won once here two Aprils ago, the eight year old is lightly raced
